What an amazing weekend! Deer Ridge Estate was perfect for the eight families we spent New Years Eve weekend with!! Plenty of space- enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all 35 of us (16 adults, 19 kids)! The main kitchen area was great- we were able to cook meals and all sit and eat together- only thing missing for us in this area was a couch to lounge on in front of the TV/Fireplace. We were lucky enough to have some snow on the ground-which kept the kids busy ALL day sledding down the hill right in front of the house! Everything went smooth from booking the property with Kristen (General Manager) to meeting the owner Gale during our stay, who was absolutely lovely! We could not have asked for more. Perfect getaway for a large group- we all look forward to our next visit!!

We come as a big group -- about twenty adults and twenty kids. This means we have a lot of needs -- lots kitchen space, play space for the kids, a place for the adults to talk as a group, as well as privacy for the individual families/couples. This place gave us all of that better than we could have ever expected. We could be together as a group, but all of us also had privacy and quiet when we needed a brief escape. Also: Plenty of bathrooms and showers, a pool table and volleyball net, and close convenience both to town and nature sights. We've tried to do weekends as a big group together before and nothing has fit the bill like this place.

The estate accommodated our family totaling 52 adults and children. The privacy and spacious accommodations allowed everyone to have plenty of room for sleeping, relaxation, food preparation, and even eating as an entire group. All enjoyed the natural beauty of the Catskills including the views of the North Delaware River, daily sightings of deer, turkey, fox, and falcons, and the mountain hiking trails. It was a very pristine and peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the family. The two pools, two hot tubs, sauna, billiard tables, and fire pits were enjoyed by all throughout the entire week. In addition, there was plenty to do in the surrounding towns to entertain all ages. Staff checked in daily to ensure that everything was going well. The commercial kitchen in Deerridge was more than adequate for preparing meals for 50 plus. The family is grateful and well-satisfied with the opportunity to spend this memorable time together at Brophy Estates.
We will, without a doubt, be back sometime soon.

Gale Brophy, her husband Walter, and the staff at DeerRidge Estates are first class all the way. We had a party of 38 and it was all ages. Everybody had a magnificent time. Kristen was our contact person and she is super nice and super knowledgeable. Kristen even sent us to a spot where the trout were jumping onto our hooks. Tony and her husband Tony with his son AJ, they are just terrific people that are always looking out for you. The Hosts - Top notch hosts, ensuring that everyone is having a good time. They are always accessible and are obsessed with pampering their guests The Property - There are a couple of different properties. We were at Deer Ridge, it is on a beautifully landscaped property. It has hills, trails, and a wonderful fire pit for a great night activity. The Accommodations - It looks like one big building as you look at it from outside. In reality, there is a long porch spanning the entire frontage of the house. Off of the porch you can access a private 5 bedroom house, a large private suite/apartment, stairs that take you to a private are that has about another 7 bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. Back downstairs next to the suite there are two rooms that are perfect for entertaining 40 people comfortably. One is a dining room and commercial kitchen and the other is a bar and pool table area. In the back of those rooms there are another couple of bunk bedrooms. Then next to it is a private handy-cap accessible bedroom and bathroom. In the back of the house there is also another bedroom and private bath. Town - The area is absolutely beautiful and secluded. If you are coming from a city, this is just what the doctor ordered. We caught some delicious trout just steps away. The properties are very easy to access from the highway as well. As you get to know Gale Brophy, you learn that she thinks of everything. We had an outstanding time!

We had a large group come up for a mountain weekend, and we could not have asked for a better property. Nestled in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, Deerridge Estate was everything we wanted in a weekend getaway, and more. All members of our group fit comfortably, and we had a blast. The pool table situated by the bar proved for some pretty intense games, and having a bar in the same room was great. Their was a great room where we were all able to sit down and have dinner, which quickly turned into a perfect location for a spontaneous dance party later. I loved the ranch style interior, and 3 different kitchens were great, but that was just on the inside. The outside porch area revealed stunning views of the huge property and the breathtaking Catskills Mountain. We had large grill, multiple heating lamps, a fire pit, and a hot tub all to ourselves. I cannot say enough about this amazing property, and on top of that, the owner during our stay, and she was AMAZING! She was so nice, and was happy to see we were all having a blast. If you are considering a mountain getaway with a large group than this is the perfect place for you. I will be recommending to others, and will be back again!

We had our annual youth ministry staff retreat at this estate. It’s a way for all of us to bond and finish the year off strong and as you can imagine, the venue is an integral part of the experience. We usually go to a beach house, but that tradition was outvoted in favor of the woods. So that led us here. Our experience at DeerRidge estate was a blessing to say the least. The whole team went above and beyond to take care of our needs from beginning to end. They even mailed one of our staff their forgotten wallet after we left. The house was large, and yet remained cozy, which is an important quality in the winter months. The hot tub and pool table gave everyone something to do when we weren’t rolling around in the snow and the view of the valley was a beautiful backdrop for our morning stretches. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all left abundantly pleased! We will certainly be coming back in the future.

This is the second year we've booked with Brophy and we'll definitely be back again! Everything from the booking process to the stay was smooth sailing and Kristen/ Gale made the experience extremely enjoyable. During our stay this year, we experienced some bad weather but Gale was in touch the entire time to check on our group and make sure everyone was staying safe. She really cares about her guests and wants them to have the best stay! Gale let us know she was available 24/7 if we needed anything at all and we really appreciated all of her help. Outstanding service all around and I highly recommend booking with Brophy! The properties are amazing and can fit large groups comfortably.

Great venue for our school retreat! A group of 30+ people, we stayed for a lovely weekend at DeerRidge Estate. We could not have asked for better accommodations to facilitate our group-bonding! The space was beautiful, clean and well designed to suit the large group. Everyone was able to mingle and have fun with others in the common areas of the Estate [and enjoy the hot tub, pool table, ect] when they wanted to, as well as enjoy some peace and quiet alone in their own room when need be. In addition to being a beautiful structure, the surrounding property is very pretty and serene.
